Following the completion of the recreation ground improvement project and the certification of the new equipment, the village children are enjoying using the improved facility.

Recreation Ground Improvements Fully Complete – Children Have Now Been Enjoying The New Play Equipment

We are delighted to announce that the recreation ground improvement project is now finished, and the village’s youngest residents have wasted no time putting the facility to good use.

During Winter and early Spring, contractors designed and installed brand-new play equipment, including a multi-activity trim trail, basket swing and a junior zip wire, alongside upgraded safety surfacing and benches.

Children could be seen exploring the bright, safe play area for the first time, with enthusiastic use of the new nest swing and cableway. “It’s so much fun.” one was heard saying.

Parish Council Chair Councillor Toby Daley commented, “Thank you to everyone who supported this project, from planning through to installation. Seeing children laughing and playing together in a safe, modern space is exactly what we set out to achieve.”

The Council would also like to extend its gratitude to the fundraising team, staff and our borough councillors for securing the final grant that made these enhancements possible.

All families are encouraged to visit the recreation ground throughout the coming weeks and make the most of the improved play area. Please remember to supervise children at all times, and report any maintenance issues to the Parish Clerk via clerk@hartlippc.gov.uk.

We look forward to watching this facility become a hub of fun and activity for the whole community!
